I think one of the real reasons noobs quit, is simply because they are bad at the game.. Especially going into minus numbers.. it's not a good feeling and, why would they want to continue playing, mentaly?

Anyhow, I think that the minimum score a player can achieve is zero. To put it simply, if they were on 500 points and they lost 600, they would go down to zero, not -100. I think it's a mental block which frustrates players and that's one of the main reasons why we're now down to 97 players.

I think we should also apply this to the TF and IG alliances aswell. I mean, the alliance score for IG is already in the minus one thousands, and let's be honest, IG only fight TF, and TF only fight IG, (as alliance-war play), so what is the point of them getting ridiculous minus scores?

Thanks for reading,

MJ

sounds good.
maybe they can not come into a negative points as long as they are in a noob ally. if they leave it, they can get negative.

i think mj has a point here. it really is frustrating to be in negative score. if a noob is negative and haven't won a single battle then the game might get really frustrating.

I also wholeheartedly agree that while being a member of TF or IG would exempt you from going negative. No game impact to the regular alliances.

It could help boister confidence in new players.
I don't know if this would be easy to program but it may be worth the look.
I can't even think of any way this could be abused by regular players who re-evo either.

i think the "negative prevention" should only be applied to players in noob allies, and to prevent abuse we should set a limit to how long you could be in a noob ally. if the player gets above a certain number of points (1500?) they should be given 2 days notice before they have to leave the alliance. the alliance leader could be in charge of checking on the member's scores and enforcing the score limit.

i also think that the noob alliances shouldn't have an ally score or be on the alliance score board. its pointless to have them on it since they are always the bottom two. always.

Sorry Dumenop no good to go above 1500 and then been kicked out noob alliance . if you win your first battle with a swank and make 3000 points yoú'll be kicked out without knowing the game .
PS all new players in starting alliance be more active in answering and questioning it is the best way to learn the game .

I dont think this would help in any way.People restart their accounts when they fall to much in minus.
I still think that those who wants to play The Game will try to learn no mater what. Its not that someone starts their account and same minute they are out of protection they are annihilated by active players.Even those who attack dead account can tell you that accounts they farmed were offline for more then a day and never have they returned back even to check for their negative score.
This would IMHO help in no way other then exploiting this to some advantages to players who play actively.

ADMIN

For more people to join put a battle simulator together with newbie protection. So new player can instantly try out The Game not to have to wait for hole 2 days to play.I tried many games that are good but if oyu have to wait 24h for 1 turn then you just leave it never to log in.
Have battle sim available for every new account while in newbie protection. If it would be to heavy on server you could limit how many tries new player would get per hour or anythin.

P.S.
Sorry again to hijack this idea but is to good not to inforce it.

ADMIN dont make me call Nitty The Enforcer for this

http://www.spacetrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=129&highlight=negative+points
maybe now it is possible with the new alliance point-system...

here is a poll:
http://www.spacetrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4823
so pls dont discuss this here any further.

another discussion is here:
