there should be at least six ships, (1 shared by all races, and 1 exclusive one for each race), where you can change the amount of manpower that you commit to that ship. A change in manpower would change the effects of the ship, and alter its class if needed.
For example:
ship 'A'
e-ray
for 100 mp:
c2
5 AP/ 5 LP and whenever it is hit it increases its LP by 3, up to a maximum of say, 10 increases. (Unless it is destroyed due to that hit, in which case the effect is null and void)
ship 'B'
e-ray
but if you spend 200 mp on that ship...:
c3
100 AP/ 150 LP and it becomes immune to kill/destroy effects and if it is reconstructed then it gets + 150 LP for the rest of the confrontation.
(those are just the first ships i though up, but there would be more of them, with effects appropriate to their respective races, or would be a balance of multiple races)
just an idea, but i figure that its worth the shot of asking.
plus, it adds an additional layer of surprise and tactics when engaging another player: even if you know what ships they have, you still might not know the effects of those ships.
Again, just an idea that i thought i'd post. |
