I'm wondering....there was this shield generator that survived twice, attacks from my flts!!! the shiels that i have aren't this tough

first flt:

If...your shield was attacked by enemy shield gen first, it went into its space displaced mode making it untouchable by the other Shield gens and destroyers. If destroyer would have hit the shield gen first, it would have been destroyed.
2nd fleet, shield gen got hit by a blockade runner first causing it to displace itself again and untouchable by the rest of the attacking fleet.

At least that's what I think happened.

nah, shield gens are notorious for being incredibly hard to completely wipe out. what happens is, if it's hit, it automatically triggers and warps itself out of the battle, so you don't end up killing it.
so what happens when there's, say 5 shield gens vs. 5 destroyers is that 4 of the destroyers kill 4 shield gens, while one of the destroyer fails, and the a shield gen survives.
I think there were some battle reports/tests on what could kill a shield gen one on one, and a destroyer couldn't, but a cruiser could

second one is exactly the way T2 said it.

or an alternate explanation for the shield gen (this is what I think) is the same as why the evaps don't always activate. if the shield gen fires first, then it loses it's "turn" and it's ability to warp itself out. if the destroyer fires first, the shield gen takes its turn and activates, warping itself out and surviving.
that would be a better explanation than the cruiser is stronger than the destroyer idea.

So, it's no ingame bug...but it did bugged me a lot ...one lousy SG prevented one attack, i've been waitting for a couple of weeks ...but it's my fault, should've taken a hammer with me... bang head

HAPPENED AGAIN, ADMIN! His fleet 2 hit my base, went away, came back, and everything got replaced, and fought again. Except my points. They didn't get replaced.

Replace my points, Admin. For this, and the earlier fight.

it was me battling ilo and getting extra points. It never happened to me before, and there is no reason i can think of why this took place. But it happened him twice !!
