Clones vs C3

Here is a tricky one (at least for me).

Assume defender has X/0/Y/Z
attacker has A/B/C/D

Now, A will fight X first
B will fight Y second

If attacker has clones and defender has special ships, then I guess the clones will make a copy of the special ships in attackers c2(?).

Now let's say that defender has apollos and cyclops. These are both cloned in some number. Then the apollos, cyclops and the clone-apollos and clone-cyclops fire. Will the original apollo be able to fire at the clone-c3s, or are the clone-c3s considered c3 for this purpose?

I am not sure 100% but no, i think.
Because as you said they become c3s and from what i know the effect last till the end of the SUB-BATTLE... c2 vs c3 sub battle;) So those holo-clones are now c3 ships
But in the C vs Y battle defender will attack because those c2 and they will be holo-clone-ships.

Excellent question ! Your c2 ship becomes a c3 ship but it is still fighting in the c2 battle vs. c3 battle.
This is a job for the battle simulator

Interesting...the guy with the holo-clones did not get to clone a cyclops and damage the available c1's in opposition's fleet.
IF this same battle was run ...say 3 times, I think the result could/would be different each time.

This is really interesting, and gives an insight or two:

If there are many ships, you might be able to estimate the outcome. If there are few, it becomes random.

Apollos are very strong in this scenario.

Wiiii i was right:)
With the last example you can see that the holo-clone-ships becomes c3 just for the sub-battle and they don't appear at the c3 sub-battle, if so, they will self destruct there or attack the building as battle drones, but they didn't because they become HCS again when c2 battle finished.
