like the topic name says, maybe we should tax the higher up alliance's so that the people in the lower numbers get a chance... Like -FG-, since they just passed the 100k mark, they get lets say .05% taken out of they're points a week or something... thats less than 1000points a day.. and the amount of member in their alliance increases or decreases the tax....

all in all, it might make it more, tangible for other alliance's to catch up, rather than having the same alliance's dominate Era after Era after Era....

also just a thought, criticizing is welcome

if there are less players, there will be less targets, so less target means less points to capture. its game, and in this game its WAR.

Just as in economics, it is very clear that imposing such a tax will kill the incentive to excell.
The need for being creative, the pursuit of even higher score, the good feeling when having won from another player, it will all get less.

If you're a little alliance, get big. Otherwise, join a big one, or be a loner. Unless you're a noob helper, you can't help these "little" alliances, mostly because they're done by noobs.

The problem remaining with any tax, purely looking at it's most basic, fundamental nature, is that it is the exact opposit of the most basic, fundamental nature of the individual human entity.
If there already exists an unbridgable difference, every following step will be infertile.

I am sorry, but it will and can not work.

Actually I woud rather everyone think I am a skill-less noob and get the nasty shock when we meet and they get pawned by a player with 1/10 or less the current score in spite of thier score. This shows the significance of the "rankings" in regard to skill IMHO and perhaps they really are not showing much themselves.
NOTE: taking out a 1000 100 10 1, multiple x with a swank may get you 20k or better but, finds taking out ex. 5000+ mp with < 1000 and even breaking even takes way more skill.
A battle rating system would be nice but probably get abused and would be almost impossible to get down right.
