Sky don't worry i'm not posting for him to join NS . Just join an alliance you feel happy with, and an alliance that will make you better and stronger. Doon't join an allisnce with a flashy website or one with a cool name . Make sure you take time in deciding aswell, so many noobs now-a-days make that mistake .

Join an Alliance with a cause, join one for fun.
Joining the top alliances is alot harder then joining the bottom ones ... REquire much more time and effort and hard work. Your better off finding a trainer frist and being prepared to loose points.

Cool, I would say attack the top players usually they have their fleets off attacking go kick some but of the top players its always fun!
