just be glad you did not click on a 5 to 6 day research item (ex. doomstar as human or kazu, campaign ship as eray or nanite, or etc)  . btw-I got 4 of those 5.5 d research items to "catch" my stray mouse clicks  , or even better (DavAlan reminds everyone to think before you click if this ever become availible)  :
habitat sphere (class 1 ship)
catch me if you can ...
attack/life: 1000/1000
manpower: 850
speed: warp 20
(can only establish a warpfield for itself)
researchtime: 90 d
