singularity probe

detects, decloaks, and destroys 1 random probe at base. no warp with the scan radius limited to only 5 sectors around your planet.


with the increase in invasive probes detailing every move in every parsec of the galaxy, one canĀ“t help but wonder- are we ever alone? we watch the ones being watched but what is there to protect us?

1st invention in like 2 years! ^^P Aimed to block DSP at base. May buy someone time against attacks and it just annoys people if you destroy their probe and they will bout it, but you'll be you did!

LOL... build yourself an oscillation probe to see who's watching you.
I would like the scrambler to have a longer operating time to effectively cloak my newly built fleets and give me time to get them out of scan radius but, a longer scramble time could make things unfair at a score planet.
There is the option of the probe invader as well but not everyone can build that tech.
hmmm...I'm undecided about this new invention however...

Scrambler only 4 hours. In 4 hours an enemy already has enough information to attack. Probe team, an offensive tactic, while this probe is meant for defense.

Singularity> Scrambler --> While takes long to build, enemy must take another 10hrs(?) to build another DSP and then think whether he should send it to the same person.

Disadvantage: Possible that there are more than 1 DSP watching your base. Killing random Probe evens out the odds.

Side effect: May alleviate the newbies who get attacked often by making the enemy think twice on if its safe to attack without probe info


But you make a good point about inventions already existing. I actually forgot all about the scrambler ^^P I never used it myself...... maybe once...... to see wat it does

This is a good invention.

But if it gets implemented, it should have the ''are we ever alone'' crap taken out of it.

i think we could implement an extra time to the scrambler if you start it at your base, lets say 12 hours. if you start it anywhere else, it will keep only 4 hours.

then this probe woulndt be needed
