oh sorry that was a bit mean (ive not had the best of days today)
well i dunno its happened to me before all you can do really is report it and if nothing gets done just send ur fleets away and come back latter

your eihter in protection mode
you might also be in defence attitude and the planet your attacking is also in the same attitude
you might have the same attack code as him
thats the 3 options i remember off the top of my head.. you gotta give more details if you want answers

You wouldn't happen to be that one who eta'ed on my base in NP after sending me the threat pm, then sent your other fleet to ruben's in defensive, lost everything (fleet at my base to NZ incomings, fleet at rubens to pifu incomings) and then after all that you, just lost your surviving ms (from rubens) trying my base with just that would you ??? 
DavAlan notes: there is more to playing st than sending a threat pm to the (current) #1 player, calling him a noob, then trying to take on the #1, #2 and a 3rd top player (who the #1 and #2 current will testify is actuallly better than the #1 and #2) in ST all at once
