From luminosity definitions: The average energy density of solar radiation just above the Earth's atmosphere, in a plane perpendicular to the rays, is about 1367 W/m²,
So you can assume anything lower than 1000 W/m² to be quite cold. And < 1/2 of that would liquify or freeze most gases such as Nitrogen and Oxygen.
My planet? LOL....ArcataCal
O2: 1, CO2: 0, CH4: 0
water: 0, sun: 782 [W/m²} ...blazing away at the boiling point of nitrogen _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

Just check the figure for the "sun" the planet receives (we get that 1367 W/m² on the earth from our sun, giving us our current temp range). The temp. falls drastically below that. Anything lower than 1000 would be "polar" (or worse).
On the other extreme 2x that would melt lead and 4x would melt steel. _________________ "Destruction leads to a very rough road

Could my Duneworm be deleted? Only when I submitted it I realized that I had created a static worm... _________________ Poetry first, sausage later.

I have a query. My planet has no biosphere report. Nor does any planet in my system.
Am I to believe the population of my planet is 5.2 billion, yet no plants or animals exist on my planet?
As far as I can see, there arent even alga or amoebe. _________________
