I don't think people will abuse it if it cost 1500 points to use it each time. this would also allow for knocking down those idelers that like to build some fast points and then do nothing for a long time. I think by charging MP's it could be unfair to some players due to the variable MP's each player has. (Ex: The Planet Cloak costs 4800 MP's to build. I have 5100MP's and you have 4899MP's. while building this device and for several hrs after returning from vacation I have a fleet of 300MP's for home defence while you only have a defence fleet of 99MP's.)

If the Planet Cloak works as the MTWG and cost points to deploy however you get no points for returning from vacation. However, possibly could cost 2500 points to go on vacation and get back 1000 points if you return befor end of game session.

I don't like the idea of loosing points
The building time should be very very short because you have to log in before the shield will be activated. That would mean two days of lost time if the building time is really that long. A long reserach time would cause this problem.

Yes, but lost points would reduce abuse of the tool. I also agree that a long research time is needless as I noted earlier I would not have been able to use it on my prior experiance of emergancy leave if a research had to occure first. however the long build time would allow thoes that have been taunted needlessly to attack if they so wish befor you actually leave. if it auto deploys when built adn auto destroys when you log back in next time however a warning of it active on the login page and being voided if you choose to login would be good I think.

i dont under stand where the problem is?

it is hard enough to go into vacation though because you have all your fleets make go home and have hardly no fleets at all when you build this device.

then you are save for vacation.

come back and destroy the device again having hardly any fleets. i dont think it matters whether i have a 50 mp or 300 mp fleet left then . because you dont have a change anyway against a good attack. i more think 50 mp-fleet better as you cant lose that much

on the other hand i cant believe all the other players keep waiting 5 weeks next to my planet and then just in a rush clash into my planet when i am back from vacation.

so just give it 24 h to research and 24h to build and there is no use of losing points...
think: if i leave nothing at home instead i lose a max of 1000 points so why should i lose 1500 points with that cloaking thingy.
or i could even ask an ally to destroy my buildings before my vacation so there is nothing at all for enemies to destroy

so i think that damn thingy should be build like it is - its not that complicated.

Here are some of my ideas,
To deter a user from using vacation mode to stop an attack, Have the Cost for Entering Vacation Mode Loosing Game Points. Min of 3 days in Vacation Mode, No Research is Done, and no Construction is done when Vacation Mode is started Thus gaining no Benefits.
All Fleets must Be home (If not all fleets desintation is set for home and Vacation does not start till they get home) And Vacation cannot be set Till 24 Hours after the last attack.

this is how it will work:

1h research time after the cloaking technology is finished
36 h buildingtime
10000 MP (some of your other personal can work at it too but every player needs ALL their mp).

you can start building it and it automatically cloakes your planet - once its finished, so you can start building it, the day you leave the game.

many players asked for the so called "vacation mode".

we added a ship to the tec-tree called cloak generator.

you can start researching it now (if you already have the cloaking tecnology)

we didnt make it 10000 MP (it was too complicated) so it has 4750 MP

i think this is enough, i agree to the Anonymous post :
