there is no more a limitation to 450 players, we got more traffic. the ground troops will come but we need to implement that feature, so please hold on, because its a lot of programming... the release for the ground troops will be the round after the next one (maybe IN the next round).

who is talking about ground troops, we are hoping for trade fleets, not ground troops!

i dont know about the traiding cause i dont see a way to do that or what to trade but i think the colonization perspective is really nice ........ and a reaspnable way to increase MP.

i guess the way to trade would be to create primary materials to build stuff like in starcraft or ages of the empires where each thing u build has a cost on primary materials.

this u may have to mine or extract from soil. Wtvr

i bealive that will represent a huge change in the script..... and honestly i dont think is worth it right now ... may be on the long run.

I think is a great Idea, maybe to trade MP, but it has to be for all the razes and techs not for just one

How about trading allready built ships /with the same ammount of mp/? For example, to trade an allready built ShockWave cruiser to a mycilloid player in exchange for a normal cruiser and 5 fighters?

What about buying ships at auctions, using points to pay?
That way players can focus on building ships to sale them, instead of focusing on fighting.

Something similar could be done with techs too.
You could buy ships of any race, but you could only buy techs you can research by yourself (otherwise selecting a race would really become pointless).

What about this:
Trading ships get goods from your planet and go to sell them at pre-warp planets (the kind of goods may be irrelevant). Once the ship returns to your planet you recieve points.
Or you could consider this better, but more complex, alternative:
There may be many goods and all pre-warp planets (and maybe not pre-warps too) have a list of goods they produce and a list of goods they need, then you may buy goods at some planet and sell them at another for a higher price (using points as currency). Planets productions and needs may change in time to make things even more dynamic (If something like this is to be done there should be available a way to program trade routes on the trading ships, something like this: go to planet P buy X quantity of A, sell Y quantity of B, go to planet Q buy Z quantity of C, sell X quantity of A, etc.)

The trading ships should be slow and, for that reason an easy target for enemy fleets. That way you can get "easy" points by trading but with the risk of being spoted and destroyed by an enemy fleet loosing the points of the goods and of the ships.
The trading ships should require a lot of MP, that way they'll be hard to protect (because you won't have much MP left to build ships for protection) and that way there'll also be a good reason to attack them.
(Lots of careful thinking would be required here to make this balanced, so that is not too easy to get points by trading or by attacking trading ships).

Some members of the alliances can focus on trading and some others on protecting the trade routes.
I don't see how can people with multi-accounts may take advantage using this system (at least no more than they normally do).

I have pretty radical change for this. But i think it would be more fair, upon building this your entire research crew boards the ship, and destroyes your old research facility. You could make the ship weak and easy to kill, defenseless even to make it fair. Once the ship arrives at the planet to trade tech, it has to stay their and research only a technology that the planet has, it also takes twice as long as that planet would normally research it due to them not haveing the same facilities as they did at the research facility. If your ship is destroyed, you must rebuild your research facility before you can rebuild the tradeing ship

This game is not about growing. You can have imperialism and monopolism in other games, not in Spacetrace though

This game's idea is strategy and tactics, and a player can only be good if he has good tactics, is honest and has got many friends.

If you could grow, Newbies wouldn't have a chance to survive in this game anymore, and it would destroy it.

Trading is a good idea though, but pls think about what you could trade. No growing, but it could have useful abilities, maybe it could be like an artefact carrier.

But as the admin says, this would attract multis !

In this tipe of game trading.....

But trading what?

Don't have nothing to trading.

Admin. This is a bad idea that only attract Multis that you have already says.

So. Move this to imposible invention. This don't do NOTHING!!!!!
