newbie Needs help understanding BR

Ok here is my BR of my most Recent battle. Why am I still lossing battles here? It looks as though there is only one C4 ship and the defensive array. All my ships should be able to take it out, I would think anyway?

the defensive array is a mighty enemy. Indeed it needs only 500 hitpoints, so your 13 cruisers would be enough to destroy it.
But the battle order is random. That means that the ships you are targeting are shuffeld. If one major building is before the array, then you aren't able to destroy it (3500 hitpoints needed). so you destroy just nothing and the array strikes back, sorry for that.

to wipe out a base you need a special fleet, for example:
* min. 41 cruisers
* kamikaze
* penguins
* 4000 fighter + commando-fighter
