Is there an upper limit? Is it indestructable? Can a prophet kill it? Or it just add a +1/+1?
with 500 ships, its hit pts will be 500 and increasing at every hit. i.e. able to kill 50 destroyers in the first round, 100 destroyers in the second round and so on.

Imagine you would use 200 of this ship type against class 1, then the last one would have 201/210. That means it would be unbeatable in class 1 anyway, exept for if the enemy has kamikazes, and it would score also against class 2.
I think if it would be created, then it should be only +1/+0 (or less ap, e.g. +0.5/0 or 0.25/0) and also then it should be more expensive.

The idea is very good, what about this change :
tiger shark (class 2 ship)
the tiger shark has an accumulating shield-web-absorber that upgrades all class 2 ships in your fleet by 0/+1 every time it gets hit.
attack/life: 0/1
manpower: 10
researchtime: 1 d
buildingtime: 10 h
needed research:
advanced tactics
battle details:
if this ship is hit it modifies AP/LP by 0/+1 of all ships of any ship-type in your own fleet in the same class
battlemessage: "upgrade: ... ships"

if you have 1 tiger shark (class 2 ship -- last revision) and the enemy has 100 destroyers; it will be 0/101 after first round of attack.

I think the last revision would make the ship die no matter what in the first battle.
considering if it goes up against class 2-4 of course.
in class one it would only grow by one one fighter vs one tiger shark.. +1 to LP
in class two it would die... one destroyer versus tiger shark 2 lp 10 attack....
anyway thats my thoughts

I think the tiger shark should not upgrade lifepoints. It would be a too good dummie for class 2 - imagine, as I said, against class 1, against fighters maybe, it would lose 1 lifepoint and gain it again immediately. And a 1/101 ship...well it seems very very hard to destroy for me.
The last revision even makes it more powerful. Imagine you would have to fight against 200 class 2 ships all having 200 or even more lifepoints... |
