you can move it too a prewarp planet if u have the pioneer ship thats it i tink

Well it depends if you are willing and have a really big reason to. Because then you have to defend to bases, the one where your shipyard is and the other where your other buildings are so it aint really that good the best thing i can really recommend is get yourself into an alliance and learn the game first.

You can move your shipyard only if you research and build a Pioneer Ship.
You could move it to a pre-warp world near an ally or enemy or perhaps closer to the Black Hole. This puts your fleets closer to "the action".
There is obviously disadvantages as well such as having another base to defend and I think loss of a fleet but I can't remeber quite. ( Listen up Evans.......  )
If you are having trouble with someone attacking your base, or, anticipate a good gangbang, you could move your shipyard before it starts, insuring yourself ability to continue building fleets to counter attack and defend with.
That's most of it...
