retaliator (class 1 ship)

this ship has a very fragile fuel system. if it is touched in any way from either side it will explode, taking many ships with it. caution self destructs!

A nuclear explosion occurs when a neutron hits the core of U235 producing 2 or more neutrons. A few retaliators will work in similar manner and 100 such ship can destroy from 100 to 1000 class 1 enemy ships.

Uh, how do you stop your own side from 'touching' it.
It seems to blow up all ships in class one if I am reading it correctly. But there has been a great debate over whether the spectre is too mighty, and it costs 800 and only does one damage to each ship. So this ship, is either too cheap, too mighty, or both.

aye thats the downfall to this ship... if you have a sporator or any other type of ship in your fleet that mod's the ship then it goes boom.

but i think your right it would be better with more MP, say 15-20, in any case.

the idea was to have it be like a grenade... it goes boom and takes things with it... the bomm goes for both sides so it is a risky ship. only if you use a heavy class one fleet though.

you got that right on the nose... but it only effects class one and with a MP change it could be quite balanced. you said 100 ships 100-1000 right so a 10-15 MP would make it right on target for that kind of destruction... the interceptor for instance is 1 mp and kills twice that in opposing fleet. this goes along same idea but with a risk to your self as well. or if you wanta guarnteed explosion put a sporator or another type ship in your fleet.

only thing is... if the ship is modded to be -5000 does it get its turn to go off? or is there any kind of stack for damage?

again to have fire power like this is a definite way to make others rethink the 1000-3 fleet...

i forgot something for starlight...

it is a gamble ship... it may take out some of your own fleet as well as their's.

if you have ever seen a goblin bomb (a goblin with dynamite loaded to the brim) that is what it will do. the spectre on the other hand effects all ships and also does so when jammed. this only effects 10 ships (either side) and destroys itself in the process. an emp fighter i think would have the ability to stop this ship, but i'm not sure.

hehehe i forgot one thing about this ship... it can't be effected by itself... hence the trigger_0_obli so it can't mod a different retaliator.
so the nuclear thing wouldn't work. i just thought i would clarify a little bit more.

also conglomera...
your oppinion is duely noted. this ship does need a little bit of work but,
thats the idea of the forums, am i right?
