What about an implementation of a player kill feature? I know this can change the game a lot, but it might be very interesting.
Another thing is the limitation of the actual alliance size. Imho, the max size of an alliance should not exceed 5-10 empires.

Nice idea, but it should be very very difficult to kill another player!
Perhaps three Doomstar attacks against the planet without disturbing enemy ships and buildings, so you would have to kill every enemy unit first (and also every defending unit from everyone else).
