In Probes Menu, the Vessel Scan reports that I have 4 Motherships in the base, I have only one and I'm certain...
Also I've sent a mothership to settle on a prewarp world, the mother ship is actualy at 2 sectors x/y/z = +2/+2/+2 away from the base, and the Vessel Scan which is supposed to scan in a range of 3 sectors is no more detecting the mothership I've sent.

your buildings count as class 4 ships for probes.

Sorry your mothership is not at 2 sectors away. it is at 3.46 sectors (ly) away.
Calculation-- square root of (2x2+2x2+2x2)=3.46 |
