would be good for the game evolving if there wouldn't be negative points?
means:
in a battle, only the winner gets the points the looser gets nothing.
this way noone could loose his points from won battles and can not drop below 0.
another suggestion:
there are positive and negative points but noone can drop below 0.

hehe
my first suggestion was:
noone can get negative points -> noone will loose points
my second:
you can loose points but never below 0
( i think tihs version is really nice ) |

frederik: u should not tell that ...
but that was exactly what i meant...
its nearly the same with points not going below zero...
--> but i see the problem in your question. of course its very demotivating to have some thousand (?) minus-points...
--> ADMIN and all the others:
is it good that the winner gets points as normal but the looser just losses a fraction (maybe 50%) of the points ?

-> Same problem remains, only it goes halve so fast.
-> And even the minimum points = 0 can be misjuzed to give easy points to friendly players.
-> were there many active players with negative points at the end of last round?
Doesnt the flow of temporary players provide a big buffer of points?

we think it's a brilliant idea.
Players that are not so lucky in their battles are not demotivated (like with negative points), and it doesent make any difference to all others if s.o. has zero or negative points.
we will change it tonite

and if you really want to cheat with dummy accounts, it doesent make a big difference if the player you always bash is in your alliance or not (just the difference with or without transwarp)
i think the other aspect not to demotivate newbies is much more important
i hope you all will fight cheating playas |

and there will allways be the possibility of checking the battlereports of players who have been too "sucessful" in the last times
--> maybe wizard, commander and green dragon are good candidates
no offence meant
--> untouchable: pluralis majestatis - or who are "we" ?
i m not that famous with my new nick, the other players have become better, and i lost some battles in the beginning due to that probe bug
but i wont tell u anyway because the times might change some day. |

ADMIN:
as far as i understood u dont want to giv minus points for lost battles in every case.
the newbie-factor is a point but
i think its NOT a good idea to do that:
a) cheating (oh i forgot to change the attackcode when i used the transwarp) is too easy.
b) i cant play against good players. maybe i want to get to the top. then i must have the possibility to attack the player on the top to steal points from him....
PLEASE THINK IT OVER
and think of an other solution
i have minus points by myself- thats not a problem - i hope
and as far as i know some rebels of the last round had so too and made it to the top ten..?
ANSWER EXPECTED

I agree with Peace,
What if I find (after 2 weeks) a newbe that is prepared to let me do some overwhelming attacks in exchange for knowledge or membership to the alliance?
Why would the newbe refuse?
He cant loose anything. |

for all good players it would change nothing!
cheating is possible right now with an dummy account.( and i dont think real newbies wanna be "farmed")
from my point of view no top player from last round cheated.
a cheating but bad playing player cannot not challenge a horde of good playing guys, i think...

but is it cheating?
to ask new members in an alliance, that if they want to join, they hve to withstand one week of "newbie-farming"? |

I also heard about the former rebel members which made it to the top ten although they had minus points *g*
Its not very difficult.
