bonus system
how about a system with credits:
here some suggestions:
how to get credits:(supporting cool things)
start of game - 10 credits
inviting a friend successfully - 20 credits
inventing a ship that is put on a planet - 15 credits
making a planet description with picture - 4 credits
getting the web award - 25 credits
shooting the it of travveler - 10 credits
how to spend the credits:(restrict things that are needed but should not be used extensively or stuff that is meant as a motivation to gain credits)
inventing a ship - 4 credits
sending an alliance round message to an alien alliance - 1 credit
having a cool avatar in the com list - 5 credits
accusing a player of being a multi - 1 credit
having a secret/different open tag - 2 credits
creating an alliance - 1 credit
using smileys in messages (permanent) - 2 credits
changing the planet name during the newbe time - 2 credits
change current research - 3 credits
these are just suggestions, maybe you find some more !

based on this credit system a trading game component (trading ships...etc.) could be possible.

lol...interesting. so the second list is what you use the credits for? i think the idea is fun but problie not many people will participate unfortunately

unfortunately i invited all my friends the entire harkonen alliance were my friends. so i can t have any points for that lol

i think its abit unfair cos not veryone could do all those things and so it puts them at an unfair disadvantage imho

i think we could implement it like this:
how to get credits:(supporting cool things)
start of game - 10 credits
inviting a friend successfully - 20 credits
inventing a ship that is put on a planet - 15 credits

donating or buying something in our shop - 100 credits

Excelllent. This is exactly the thing that is needed to put spacetrace up there with the other excellent games.
I am really excited about this but I would like to suggest something.
***These Credits should be used ingame, to start trading with other players. For example Jimbob of the gypsy site is kazzuula. He cannot buy a doomstar and is very upset about this. Therefore he asks Maggy of blackland if he can purchase her Doomstar for 4 credits.
Maggy is delighted, and sells the doomstar, in turn she can either buy a multi-emp vessel from Jimbob or she can use the credits to do something else.
As you can see this creates a whole new way of playing the game. Nanite players can trade with e-ray players to get ships that they cant make. ect. ect.

maybe if u get credits for selling ships and spend credits on buying ships, credits are given to ships similar to the man power, a dread costs 375 creds for example |

that wouldnt be wise. it would destroy some tactical rules in the game, cause it is important, that you know a little bit, what your opponent COULD have...
race specific ships should stay with these races.
one more option:
inviting a friend - 1 credit
(before the successful invitation) |

if you already have a picture for your planet, you can go to your preferences and actualize it, so you get the 10 credits for it |

i think accusing a player is a good thing if the player is actually guilty so i wouldnt discorage it perhaps take away some if it turns out too be total bolok and maybe earn some if it turns out too be true
i personally wouldnt have any points left if u had started that up when evans was hacking  |
