aye lord, Alpha will be ours in a matter of hours, we ll leave gamma for now as it is out of reach, i think we should go and conquer beta though

…Weylyn stood on the bridge of the invincible, watching the battle unfold on the radar screen in front of him. Most of his fighter squadrons were in heavy fighting already, the few cruisers that escorted the carrier had come under fire. The 42nd gunship squadron had already been forced to return to base because of heavy damage to the bulkheads.
The bridge appeared to be complete chaos as the officers guided the battle through the comchannels. They were forced to use old fashioned open channels because the secure comlinks had overloaded and couldn't take the strain. Suddenly the voice of a young officer was heard above the noise.
"Admiral! We have more incomings! Two hyperspace signature, distance 200 light-years and closing fast, bearing four-three-mark-negative-six-two-mark-nine!"
Weylyn contemplated this for a moment. The battle was going wrong, the apes put up more of a fight than anticipated. He decided that the pulsar wasn't worth it.
"Enough! All ships, disengage! Helm, get the hyperdrive online."
The comms officers strated calling back the fighters. As they were doing this the soft humming of the hyperdrive penetrated the walls of the ship.
As they fighters came back, Weylyn walked to his personal comlink. He sent a subspace transmission to the enemy command ship.
My compliments to Lucy and yourself for a good fight. I've had enough for now but rest assured I will be back.
A half an hour later most of the fighters were back on board, but some didn't make it. The Invincible had taken some hits, but was still very much intact.
"Con, drive us outta here!"
