i thought it could be fun and would add some strategical flavor if you could build some kind of planetary troopers.

you need to transport them with troop transports
(expensive & weak -> disadvantage)

and you can achieve something with it on an enemy planet (stealing something, i don't know... maybe if they besiege a planet you steal points every day ??!!, or something else)

what do ya think???

here is a list of possiblities i can imagine:
-stealing the right of producing on or more inventions, for ex. my enemy cannot build interceptors anymore, but i can (even if i am nanite)

-stealing the production capacity : the enemy can build ships with double production time, me faster

-stealing points : every day i get 100 points from him

-stealing the transwarp net: it's mine now, but on his planet

Um Well you would be bringing in a whole bunch of new stuff to the game. Like um
"taking over planets"

Do we need to build defending troopers too.
Do they come from a different mp selection.

Would the troopers have ground vehicles like tanks bazooka'a jeeps etc etc.

I think it should be "tested" outside the main game to see how it all works.

i would suggest not to complicate the stuff and do not let the ground troopers have stuff like hte ships

they could fight 1:1

me 100 : enemy 90

leads to :
me 10 : enemy 0

that would mean they were different in that 90 fighters v 100 fighters is a draw

I think the troopers should at least have camp followers.

and how could we prevent alliances from playing multi accounts with this option.
ah, i know, if one trooper costs 1 MP it would be the needed disadvantage.
i like the idea of using the others production capabilities, so you could steal some interceptors and leave again :smile:
