question about the dreadnought

Waht's wrong with my dreadnought? I thought the shockwave would do one damage to 100 enemy ships?

I think the shockwave only affects ships in class 3, so it would kill 100 missiles or fighters in a direct confrontation.

no, the manual sais the shockwave does 1 damage to 100 ships each in the class it is fighting with, but in this battle there were only 24 cruisers as targets, so i guess everyone of them got 1 damage ant that was it.

the dreadnought shockwave is like the schockwave cruiser - good against class 1 ships but i didn't find out jet either how to use them effectively

it seems that the dreadnought is an universal battleship which has something against any possible situation.

the shockwave is very useful against clas1, against missle attacks and against cluster-drones.
if there is no such attack onto the dreadnought, the shockwave will be realeased anyway.
in all cases it has the advantage that the major reconstructor cant recycle ships that were hit by the shockwave.

so i find the shockwave a very useful DEFENCE weapon for the dreadnought
