yes

but you need to choose an agressive attitude.

the base of every player is set to "defense"

->

so you need to have a different attitude, for example attack or a code.

its not too ~beep~ hard:

u build some ships (at least one mothership -> if u wanna attack with more than 1 fleet u have to build more ms´s!!!) then u have to move your ships from the base to the fleets...like 1000 fighters 100 cruisers 10 cruisers 1 mothership!
the most important thing u need are coords from other players. the blackhole for example is at 500/500/50. to get coords u have to scan the universe by using investigation probes. send them to somewhere, wait til they arrive and simply fill in one of those coords in the little box u see on the fleets screen. u should set your attitude to "attack" (the red button!) and for security reason i would also fill in a attack code ( a word u like or your passport ID or whatsoever). afterwards u simply hit the "modify" button and your fleets begin to travel thier way to the target. when they arrive they automatically attack what they find.
regards,

the flitzer

ehm - then how do I make sure that my fleets stay in attacking style? They keep changing into defensive attitude?

when u have sent your fleet(s) to someone in attacking mode and u log out and log in again and your ->RED<- shield doesn´t shine doesn´t mean you are not attacking!
