What is the stratgey / tactic for using LowRider?
I mean considering that the ship has warp 1 which is useless.

if u did mean the core dirve well it could be used for a antis attack, or like a faith mothership or other class 4 ship
BTW i think somebody can invent faith mothershhip without warp and lower costthan the CD |

I meant CORE DRIVER.
But explain to me the purpose of that slow ship coming to somebody base in days instead of hours. You will be bore to death before you actually use that combination (Mantis & Core Driver).
Anybody has a different strategy for the CORE DRIVER?

How about transporting your core drivers with a mothership and scouts. They are a cheap delivery system for suicide fleets. |

I attempted to seperate 2 motherships in my fleet during warp, but the motherships refused to seperate into 2 distinct fleet.
Based on what you said "An Offer ...", what am I supposed to do? |

You can't separate two motherships during warp, unless there are more fleets with you. That is a whole new tactic, and there is a lot more to it that won't be discussed in this forum.
Taken what I said, you can stop one sector away with all your fleets, rearrange them, and do business. It takes core drivers 2.5 hours to travel one sector, so you do need a bit of time, but not much.
Check out this example:
Three fleets-
One: a mothership, two core drivers, and entire attack force.
Two and Three: a scout each (or saucer, whatever you got)
When you land near your target, move the core drivers into the fleets with scouts, along with their payload. Then move the scouts into the fleet with the mothership. (You should probably leave at least 1 1 1 1 in that fleet, in case) Send your core driver fleets to break some thumbs, and pick up the pieces with your mothership and go home for a refresher.
There are many variations you can use with this tactic, and many ships that excell in this type of action. If these fleets contain suicidal and recycling ships only, you can send a tender instead of a mothership to give it a bit more zing, but you have to make sure it sees no combat.
This is just one use for core drivers, there are plenty more. They can be very effective tools. |

You have 2 postings and seem to have a lot of experience with the CD. Can you list down their uses without going into details. |

Just because I have two postings doesn't mean I don't know what I am talking about, limski. |

god one, AOUCR even some good players arent posting because to they dont care about the forum
Also an use of a core driver is using a matis
Three fleets
Fleet 1 7 mantis 1 mothership 7 coredrivers
Fleet 2 1 mothership
Fleet 3 a scout or whatver you got
when you are near to the base's enemy you put 1 mantis and 1 coredirver into the fleet 2 and you move your mother to fleet 1, so then you attack only with the second fleet, there you will win vs major reconstructot, time slippers, carriers, a lot of motherships or if you would destroy his defensive you will do it.
In your base you could have some scouts or saucers so hwen the fleet 2 is empty your put your scout and while you are attacking with the fleet 3 the scout reach the coords of the others fleet. This is a mass way to destroy all majors...
Also you can make 15 CD and it will be some faiths mothership, and if some one attack you and you have a good fleet for destroy his fleet so do it, if you make only 10 CD you will lost 800pts but maybe you will win some pts vs his fleet, of course you will win more if you have a doomstar and a shadow star or a pirateflagship, so in that way it will be a surprise attack |
