your class 2 vs enemy class 2: V ^
you:
52 destroyers
24 missile-launchers
enemy:
38 destroyers
3 shield generators
67 mines
20 missiles launched
9 destroyers vs 9 mines
3 destroyers vs 3 shield generators
37 destroyers vs 37 destroyers
29 mine-explosions detected
3 shields generated
9 destroyers vs 9 missile-launchers
28 destroyers vs 28 destroyers
losses:
you :
28 destroyers
9 missile-launchers
enemy :
37 destroyers
3 shield generators
67 mines
score in this subbattle: -6
--------------------------------
I guess mine-deployers are a little buggy. |

1. None of his ships was destroyed by the mines, they where all destroyed by my destroyers.
2. Why did one of his ships survive? (shield generators? but i had no ships that do less then 10 damage)
3. Why did i only launch 20 missiles and not 24? |

no, the mines are ok . the are spreaded into the enmy fleet at random.
if there are too much mines the stack may look like this:
destroyer
mine
mine
mine
destroyer
mine
mine
.
.
.
and this would happen:
destroyer shoots
mine destroys mine
mine destroys destroyer
mine destroys mine
you see too many mines are not very usefull (having more than 50% of the enemy class 2 is not meaning that you destroy more, so this is a self balancing effect, i like it )
....
only 20 missile launchers shot because the subbattle was over

That´s how i understood the mines, but in my BR 29 mines exploded. The chances that each of this mines destroyed another mine are really small (around 10^-7).
I will test them once more, but i guess i know why none of my opponents ever used a mine deployer. |

one destroyer was destroyed by a mine (28+9=37)
the chance is not so small if you have many mines :
mine
mine
other
mine
mine
other
mine
mine
other
will cause no damage , and the chance for this is much higher if you have twice as many mines that other ships (like in your battle)
so.. just use less then 50% of enemy class 2 to have a great breakthrough
(ohhh, i like this ship ! it is self balancing)

Mine deployers are cool ships use them with some combat reconstructors and dont use too many.
