What happens when I leave a message on the planet board of a pre-warp planet? The manual says that they sometimes reveal ancient technologies...?

If you wrote a secret message on the planet it could be that there will be anyone in the near future who finds it and who can read it.
(e.g. the coordinates of wizard of oz: ???/???/??  )
The planet of an abandonned player will become a "normal" one and you could go there and take it's til then researched technology with you.
