Its definitly not ment to self destruct. Alterations in mp/lp maybe, but not self destruct.

Maybe you could have it "encourage" people to spend more points on it. Like 10 points gets you 1 ap, but if you spend 50 points you get 10 ap. Or something along those lines.

The syntax is like that because I have no way (in my knowledge) to make the syntax destroy ships when it goes into warp through the option the research creater gives.

Maybe an invention could be added that would move MP into the research field, thus making research faster but giving you less MP.
